“By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.” Hebrews 13:15
Hello Ladies Of Lighthouse,
The Thanksgiving Holiday is just around the corner and as a nation we will stop and thank God for His many blessings and reflect on what He has done in our life. That is Thanksgiving the holiday; but Thanksgiving as the praise response of a blessed life to a mighty God should be a continual way of life. The Psalmist spoke of praising God continually (Ps 34:1), getting up in the middle of the night to say thank you (Ps 119:62), and setting aside seven times in the day to actively give thanks (Ps 119: 164). How is your Thanks Living going? Do you have a specific blessing that you would like to thank God for today? I will be sharing our blessings of thanks next week, so take a moment to reflect and respond via “reply”.
This Friday, November 19, is Scrapbook Night at Lighthouse from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Please RSVP immediately if you plan to attend. Lack of response will necessitate cancellation of the event.
Saturday, November 20, is the Fall Festival of Bryceville Elementary School from 2:00 until 5:00. This is a fun-filled-fund-raising event that we are helping with as a community outreach. We still have half-hour timeslots that need to be filled at a couple of booths. If you can help, please reply to this e-mail and I will have the Robin or Rhonda contact you with the open times. I am an artistically challenged individual, so if someone could help me with decorating the basketball booth, PLEASE J let me know as soon as possible. We would like to include Lighthouse in the decoration somehow. Any ideas?
YOU are all a blessing to me, and a leaf is already hanging on our family Thanksgiving Tree with “The Ladies Of Lighthouse” written on it.
Blessings,

Each class at BES makes a basket to raffle at their Fall Festival. The basket for Mrs. Hawkins first grade class is a Chef Cooking basket. They need the following items: A large pot (to use instead of a basket), apron, chef hat, cooking utensils, spices aor anything else that would go with the them. If you would like to donate an item, or money for an item, they need it by THIS FRIDAY. You could bring it to me tomorrow at the Wednesday evening service.
If you can help with food for the Holiday Happening, please let me know and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE keep this event in your prayers. In the past it has been a great event for visitors, and we hope to continue shining into our community with it...but we are running into many obstacles this year.
Operation Christmas Child boxes will need to be turned in by the second week of November in order to be delivered to the drop off location. There will be extra flyers in the foyer that have the label and information you need.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for bearing with all of this information. A bright light takes lots of fuel...stay filled.
Blessings,
